Our humidifiers are powered by Nafion™ Tubing which selectively pulls water vapor into a gas stream.
Common applications include humidifying calibration gasses, particle and aerosol streams, and air used in processes such as gas blending.
Water-to-Gas Humidifiers
Water-to-gas humidifiers are often used to humidfy:
- Gases that don’t contain water soluble components
- Air to be used in other processes, such as gas blending.
How they work:
Pump water through the purge ports, counter-current to your gas sample flowing through the Nafion™ tubing, and heat the water or the humidifier.
Then, Nafion™ tubing will selectively transfer water into the gas stream, achieving up to 99% relative humidity at the output.
Best for applications with flow rates up to 20 lpm.
Outputs up to 99% relative humidity
Input Gas:
– Flow rates up to 20 lpm
– Temperatures up to 80 °C
– Gas stream pressure up to 80 psig (5.5 barg)
-Differential pressure on Nafion™ tubing up to 10 psig (0.7 barg)
Water-to-gas humidification:
Requires water to be pumped into the purge port, running counter-current to the gas stream.
Best for applications with flow rates up to 5000 lpm.
Outputs up to 99% relative humidity
Input Gas:
– Flow rates up to 15,000 lpm
– Temperatures up to 80 °C
– Gas stream pressure up to 45 psig (3 barg)
-Differential pressure on Nafion™ tubing up to 5 psig (0.3 barg)
Water-to-gas humidification:
Requires water to be pumped into the purge port, running counter-current to the gas stream.
Gas-to-Gas Humidifiers
Gas-to-gas humidifiers are often used to humidify:
- Calibration gases
- Particle streams or aerosol streams
- Gases that contain water- soluble components
How they work:
Water vapor outside the Nafion™ tubing is selectively transferred into your gas stream flowing through the Nafion™ tubing.
For the BE Series, water vapor is pulled into the gas stream from the ambient environment.
For the MD and FC Series, pump humid gas through the purge ports, counter-current to your gas sample flowing through the Nafion™ tubing. Water vapor is pulled into the gas stream from the humid gas supplied to the purge port.
Humidify a gas using moisture in the ambient environment.
Output gas up to ambient relative humidity
Input Gas:
– Flow rates up to 2 lpm
– Temperatures up to 80 °C
– Pressures up to 90 psig (6 barg)
The BE draws in moisture from the ambient environment to humidify the gas stream.
Used to humidify a gas stream to a controlled relative humidity. Flow rates up to 4 lpm.
Output relative humidity up to 90% of humidifying gas
Input Gas:
– Flow rates up to 4 lpm
– Temperatures up to 80 °C
– Pressures up to 90 psig (6 barg)
Gas-to-gas humidification:
Requires humid gas pumped into the purge port, running counter-current to the gas stream.
Used to humidify a gas stream to a controlled relative humidity. Flow rates up to 5000 lpm.
Output relative humidity up to 90% of humidifying gas
Input Gas:
– Flow rates up to 5000 lpm
– Temperatures up to 80 °C
– Pressures up to 45 psig (3 barg)
Gas-to-gas humidification:
Requires humid gas pumped into the purge port, running counter-current to the gas stream.
